Hill’s Shire Farm currently produces an acre of hops and an acre of asparagus. The 2018 season lasted from May 7-June 16. We picked 6378 spears and 415lbs of asparagus. Here's looking forward to next year’s season.

A little about asparagus
Asparagus is available for a limited time during the year. In Michigan, the season lasts from Mother's Day to Father's Day. Depending on the weather, the first week of the season our farm will produce 5-10lbs per day. By the third week of May, we will consistently see production increase to 15-25lbs per day.
